Order Picking Solutions

Compact AMR for Rapid Order Picking in Space-Constrained Environments
Order Picking Solutions
TARO is a compact Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) engineered to accelerate order picking workflows across Dark Stores, retail stores, and urban Micro-Fulfillment Centers (MFCs). Purpose-built to navigate narrow aisles, TARO accompanies operators along designated picking routes—virtually eliminating non-productive walking distances and carrying heavy tote loads to significantly reduce physical fatigue.

Equipped with an integrated touchscreen PC, 1D/2D barcode scanner, Pick-to-Light (P2L) visual indicators, and weight sensors beneath each tote, TARO seamlessly guides operators to the exact SKU and required quantity. Managed centrally via the Taro Management System (TMS), TARO fleets synchronize mission execution, inventory movement, and order state directly with enterprise software platforms.

  • High-Throughput Order Picking: Quadruples units picked per hour (UPH) compared to manual operations, dramatically reducing average order fulfillment times.

  • Multi-Layered Verification: Integrated tote weight sensors, barcode scanner, touchscreen interface, and optional AI-assisted product recognition camera virtually eliminate missing or incorrect items.

  • Tote-Level Weight Sensing: High-precision load sensors underneath every tote automatically detect item placement and confirm that the correct weight is placed into the designated bin.

  • Indoor Positioning (VPS): Powered by VPS and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) positioning technology, TARO achieves localization accuracy down to $\pm$10 cm in narrow aisles, high-density racking, and power-cycle scenarios.

  • Safe Human-Robot Collaboration: Environmental sensing suite and active obstacle avoidance algorithms allow TARO units to operate safely alongside store staff and warehouse personnel.

  • Full Ecosystem Integration: Connects directly with WMS, OMS, and ERP systems via MWS to handle mission dispatching, tote confirmations, and real-time inventory adjustments.

Taro Harvesting Robot Features
Meeting Efficiency with Flexibility
While a typical fulfillment solution demands an expansive area with high ceilings, TARO allows you to safely set up a Micro-Fulfillment Center (MFC) right in the back-of-house of your store—in a space as small as approximately 150 square meters.
Picking Without Barcode Scanning
Once you place items into the tote, you are immediately ready to proceed to the next item location. TARO comes equipped with high-precision load sensors that concurrently measure the weight within each tote, determining in real time whether the correct product has been deposited. This feature not only ensures flawless picking operations but also guarantees that workers put the right product into the correct tote.
